How my love of digital search began
My first proper taste of online marketing started at Spain-holiday.com. I was a member of the original team that developed what is now one of Europe’s most successful holiday rental brands.
We were a small team working from our bedrooms when we hit upon a winning digital marketing strategy. As a direct result of our work, Spain-holiday grew into a 30+ person company with a multi-million pound a year turnover.
Ever since then, the internet has fascinated me. Understanding the intricacies of how a website performs, building the infrastructure, and watching it grow into a successful business is what gets me out of bed every day.

I spent four years working as a Senior SEO Consultant for Artemis, one of the UK’s leading marketing agencies. Artemis is consistently voted number one by Freeindex for online marketing services in the South of the UK.
I was responsible for the marketing campaigns of more than 30 clients from various industries, from travel to e-commerce, local businesses to large multinationals with multiple sites.
Every day, I worked on a multitude of tasks that combined to make a site rank and perform. It was my responsibility to ensure that organic and paid targets were consistently met.

I learned a lot agency-side, and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities I was given. But one of my frustrations working in a fast-growth agency was a fear of spreading myself too thin. So, after much deliberation, I decided to set up on my own. From the outset, it was a priority of mine to keep the number of clients I work with at one time to a minimum.

When I’m not hunched in front of a computer, I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Hiking and mountaineering, preferably far removed from anything digital.
